Mt. Sinai World Outreach Church
Mt Sinai Baptist Church was founded by Bishop Terry McCaskill, Sr. on June 28, 1992. The ministry started with 28 members. God moved in a supernatural way and many souls were saved. The ministry was the fastest growing ministry in South Carolina. The ministry grew because we believed in allowing all the gifts to work in the church; also we operated in a fivefold ministry. Mt. Sinai's foundation and purpose of existing were "Reaching the Outcast for Christ ". The scripture that births this movement was Luke 4:16-18, Jesus said “He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor; He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed.
Mt. Sinai reaches out to the homeless, HIV and AIDS victims, drug dealers, drug users, gangsters, gang bangers, poor, and divorced. We also reach out to the prison-bound and the ones that are struggling with unnatural affections. Mt. Sinai fights for justice for all people. The ministry strives to break down the walls of racism, sexism, and classism because it oppresses the body of Christ. Apostle Paul says " There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female; we all are one in Christ Jesus {Gal.3:27}.
Mt. Sinai is a church that believes in worshiping and praising God in spirit and truth. Mt. Sinai is a ministry that has contemporary worship and praise, and we also have traditional worship and praise, because we understand the young and the seniors need to experience the move of God too; Psalm 150 is very alive at Mt. Sinai in every worship experience. Mt. Sinai is a free church. Also, we allow people to praise God according to their understanding of God. We don't condemn anyone that doesn't shout or dance because we understand God moves on all people in a different way {John 4:22-23}. Mt. Sinai is one church in five locations: Mt. Sinai 1- Pendleton, SC Mt. Sinai 2- Greenville, SC Mt. Sinai 3- Spartanburg, SC Mt. Sinai 4- Abuja, Nigeria Mt. Sinai 5- Accra, Ghana |
